Major Functions

Compression

• The scroll plate, driven by the motor, rotates to create centrifugal force, propelling the refrigerant gas along a spiral groove where it is compressed.
• This process raises the gas’s pressure and temperature.

Heat Dissipation

• During compression, the refrigerant releases substantial heat, which must be expelled through a condenser or evaporator to ensure stable system operation.

Throttling

• The high-pressure, high-temperature refrigerant passes through a throttling device (e.g., capillary)
• Velocity increases and pressure drops, producing low-temperature, low-pressure wet steam.

Absorption

• This low-temperature, low-pressure steam enters the absorber and transfers heat to water or other solutions, becoming saturated steam or superheated water.

Regeneration

• The saturated steam or superheated water then moves to the evaporator, releasing heat to the cooled medium.
• Moisture is separated and returned to the refrigerant cycle.
